MY NAME IS DIANE.
I am a retired teacher and currently based in
Black Diamond, Washington.
When I heard about the Barton Reading & Spelling System and saw how well it worked for some of the struggling students, I was happy to accept the opportunity to use it myself. I began tutoring with the Barton System and watched students make tremendous gains in their reading levels, and in their confidence.
During my last few years before my retirement, I was instrumental in establishing a site license for the Barton Reading & Spelling System at my school, so that other teachers, and also parents, could use it to help other students.
I have continued tutoring in my retirement, and I'm working toward becoming an online tutor to reach more people who need a different approach to become competent and confident readers and spellers.
